We plan to be in session tomorrow! We will check the roads again in the morning but as of this evening we are good to open. We may be moving a bit slower but we will take our time and be as safe as possible! A BIG Bulldog thank you to the road crews for battling this big snow storm.
Remember for student drop off please enter at the west entrance and drop students at the elementary doors. Please follow this line and do not get out early as the parking lot could be slick. Please use caution and be watchful for students that walk to school.
We are excited for the students to come back and get the new year started!
This evenings Jr High boys basketball games in Hopedale have been postponed. Stay warm and safe everyone!
Monday, January 6th Greenview CUSD #200 will be using a Snow Day! The last day of student attendance will now be May 29th! Stay safe and warm!

Thursday Night is 8th grade night for our cheer squad and boys basketball team! It is also the last home game before Christmas Break! We have a special guest coming to the game- SANTA! A few fun things are planned:
Wear Christmas or Holliday gear and you will have no admission cost to the game!
The Bulldog will be here along with Santa if you'd like to get a photo with them 😀
We will have a special shot at half time of the 8th grade game all in attendance can register to take part in. We have some great prizes set up for the winners!
We will have cake and refreshments after the game to honor the 8th graders!
We look forward to a fun night at the game!

Tonight's JH Basketball game with South Pekin starting at 5:00PM has been cancelled.
As of now this evenings game vs South Pekin is still on. The game will start at 5:00 here at Greenview
A GREAT evening for the Greenview FFA! The dairy foods team traveled to Petersburg for the Section 14 dairy foods contest. The Jr High team won 1st Place!!! The High school finished in 7th place!!! Both teams did an excellent job tonight representing the Greenview FFA! Keep up the great work!!!

Tonight's music programs will be streamed on our school Facebook page and be uploaded to YouTube tomorrow morning! We are excited for our Bulldogs to perform at the Christmas program tonight!
From PORTA High School Baseball Coaches:
There will be a meeting for anyone interested in playing baseball this spring in the PORTA Library on Sunday December 15 at 6pm?. If anyone can't make it please have them email me at bleischner@porta202.org. Coach will get hat sizes in this meeting along with passing out an off season open gym schedule and talking about our trivia night fundraiser.
The School Christmas Concerts are tomorrow night Tuesday, December 10th! All are welcome to join us for a night of fun and celebrating the holiday season!
The Elementary program grades PK-5 starts at 6:00. Students should arrive to Greenview Elementary no earlier than 5:40. Students can be signed out at their classrooms after the shows conclusion.
The JR/SR High concert grades 6-12 will start at 7:30. JR/SR High students should arrive no earlier than 7:00 unless they come to watch the elementary program.
Mrs Sheppard has another great night of music ready for the community and the students have been working hard to get ready! Please come up to see the show!

Tomorrow morning at 8:30 am there will be a walk of champions for the Jr High Girls basketball team - community members are welcome to join us celebrate this great crew!
Important Updates-
Tomorrow morning 12/6/2024 at 8:30 AM we would like to do a walk of champions in the JH/HS hallway for our 7th grade girls basketball players who are going off to state this weekend. Anyone from the public is welcome to come up and celebrate this with us. We wish our Illini Central/Greenview girls the best of luck.
Also, a reminder that tomorrow is Grandparent's Day the schedule is as follows. Pre-K: 10:00- 10:30 K-2: 10:30-11:00 3-5: 11:00-11:30. Grandparents will be allowed to take students after this event as long as the students have a note from parents allowing them to do so.
At 11:30 all students will be dismissed for a teacher in service day.
The bus has left Mason city and will soon be in town lead by our awesome Greenview fire department!
