We have a couple technology updates for families. Students all have been using devices at school much more than in the past. Everyone has been doing great so far! Please talk with your students about using technology safely. We have acquired hot spots for internet access at home. If you NEED to get one for your student please contact Mr. Heavner. Please understand they will work only with school devices and will have filters for only school work web pages to work. Parents will need to make arrangements to pick these up if you are interested. These also take a few days to get up and going as we activate them. They will be a huge help for the students and staff. We are working hard to make sure these all work well and students get the needed materials to learn. Please call if we can help!

We want to send a HUGE thanks to everyone for a GREAT start to the school year. Everyone has done so well rallying together to pull this off. The staff and students have high hopes to keep everyone coming in person for as long as possible. Please remember to social distance best you can. Please try to wear masks where you need to. These will all go far to keeping us going in person. If you feel sick please stay home. PLEASE call if you have questions. We want kids to have as normal school session as we can in these days. Remote students will be contacted Monday, please make sure to be checking emails. We will be working hard to help these Bulldogs have the best experience they can. We are proud of you! Reminder today is picture day! Remote learning students are welcome to come at 9:00 am. Masks must be worn in school. Kids will not have masks on for photos. Remote learning chrome books and online program info will be to students by next Wednesday. Everything should be finalized today with the companies. Please call school if you have questions. 2020-2021 drop off and pick up plans

Hello Greenview! We have a couple updates for students and families. - Due to our adjusted school day and school calendar, we have condensed our overall schedule to accommodate these changes. Updated schedules will be sent to JH/HS student emails shortly, so please keep an eye out. We will also have a copy of their schedule printed to give them on their first day of school. - A student survey has been sent via email to all High School students. This survey gives students a checklist of options for their elective classes. It needs to be completed by noon on August 19. Please help us spread the word! HUGE week ahead! -L-Tech students start tomorrow! You need your mask and need to be at school before 7:10. We are proud and excited for you to get the year going! -Tomorrow morning there is a meeting at 10:00 am for Seniors and students taking WIU courses. Please make sure you or someone from your family can attend. -PLEASE return registration packets and borrowed technology as soon as possible. If you are one of the new families to our school and have not registered please stop in as soon as possible. -Thursday is the 1st day of student attendance! PLEASE do not let your students come to campus before 7:50. EVERYONE will be temperature screened and enter through the elementary doors. There will be updates coming out this week about drop off and pick up protocols. EVERYONE inside the school MUST WEAR A MASK. We appreciate everyone working with us to make sure we can have in person instruction. -Friday is picture day for the school. We intend to have other days later in the year for pictures but we want to make sure we get a chance to get pictures in the event we get shut down. -Families in the remote learning program will be set up over the next few weeks. We will be contacting the remote families individually as we get the program up and going. -We have worked very hard to get to this point. Please be patient and kind as we are doing the beat we can for the students. Please remain as positive as possible it is important we give the students the best in person experience we can for as long as we can this year. We can’t say enough families should have a plan in the event we end up in a full remote learning situation. We have the BEST community supporting our students! We have an awesome donor who sent individual hand sanitizer for our students for the start of school! We are so thankful for all the support of our students and staff!

Important Updates: *We are having a meeting in the front parking lot on Monday, 08/17 at 10 am for ALL Seniors, students interested in taking dual-credit courses through Western, and parents/guardians who are able to attend. We will be discussing scheduling updates for the 2020-2021 school year. *LTEC classes begin Monday, August 17. Meet in front of the JH/HS doors at 7:10 am. *If you have not already done so, please turn in any JH or HS scheduling forms to Mrs. Hobbs ASAP.

A few major updates- please help spread the word! -PLEASE return registration packets as soon as possible to the cart in the elementary lobby. It is open from 6:00 am-10:00 pm daily. -We need families to return borrowed chrome books this week to the elementary lobby cart. The tech team needs to prepare them for the year ahead. This year every student will be issued a device. The lobby is open M-F 6:00 - 10:00 pm. -Our last bunch Pre K enrollment packets will go out over the next few days. Please call school if you have any questions. -If you choose to have your students enrolled in our remote learning and have not informed school yet please call Mr. Heavner or Mr. Turner to make sure we can get things set up.

Juniors and Seniors interested in taking dual credit courses with WIU need to contact Mrs. Hobbs as soon as possible if you have not already don so. These will fill up quickly and are a great opportunity for students!

Jr High Baseball, JH Softball and Cross Country are all getting ready to start for the fall. Please contact school if your student is interested as soon as possible if you have not already done that. Our CO-OP is with Illini Central for Jr. High. Please make sure you have an up to date physical. Thanks!

Please welcome our new teacher and varsity basketball coach to the Bulldog family! Michael Cameron will be the next head coach of our Bulldogs! Cliff Cameron will join him as an assistant coach on the staff. We are excited to get things going this year and glad to have coach come to Greenview. Following is a bio of coach. You will be able to meet coach at the golf outing on Saturday, he will arrange a meeting with the players soon. Welcome to Greenview! From coach- After playing for my father at Pleasant Plains High School, I was a four-year starting point guard throughout college. I played my first two years at Lincoln Land, finishing up at MacMurray College with a bachelor's degree in Sports Management. We won the SLIAC conference my junior year. Following my playing career, I was an assistant coach at the University of Illinois Springfield. At UIS my responsibilities included making scouting reports, presenting and breaking down film, and on the court player development. This past season I have been overseas in China coaching youth basketball. I am excited and grateful for this opportunity to start my head coaching career at Greenview High School. Having my dad with me will be an awesome experience and I can't wait to get started.

Saturday is the Bulldog Golf Outing! We still have room for a team or 2, please message us if you are interested! There is still time to be a sponsor this year! Please message a coach or the page if you are interested! There are some GREAT prizes this year and the Bulldog cup is shined up ready to be presented to the champs! Our awesome team is out delivering registration packets to homes today! This is a GREAT crew so excited to get ready to bring back our Bulldogs! We will be around the community this morning! Please return packets by August 7th to the elementary office! It’s a great day to be a Bulldog!
