Please help up spread the word! Thursday, March 12th is our final informational meeting on the school renovation and construction referendum. The meeting is open to all and will begin at 6:30 in the school library. Election Day is Tuesday, March 17th for voters in Menard County. I encourage you to attend the meeting if possible or contact me if you have questions. This project will improve the everyday educational experience for all students PK-12. This project uses money only for school construction and would make sure Greenview has a modern educational facility for years to come. I encourage all voters to exercise your democratic right to vote on Election Day. If you have question please do not hesitate to contact me.

Today is a great day in Bulldog Country! Our Greenview High School track team is headed to a Illinois College for an indoor track meet. This is the 1st year GHS has had a team since 1987! We wish our team good luck and we are proud of our Bulldogs!!!
Everyone out in Bulldog Country needs to move the clocks an hour ahead this tonight! We are all looking forward to that extra hour of sunshine in the evenings and the great summer nights!

The link on this page is to an excel sheet that demonstrates the increase to taxes a residential property could see with the March 17 referendum. You can enter a property value in cell B1 and the sheet will show the increase in taxes. You will need to have excel on your computer to use this form.
The referendum is to make renovations to the campus and the money that would be borrowed would be used only for building purposes. The anticipated raise to taxes would still keep CUSD #200 below neighboring school districts tax rates. We will have meetings to share information on March 3rd and March 12th both starting at 6:30 pm. Please contact me if you have questions about this project. This is a great opportunity to give our students an upgraded and modern learning facility!

Lil Jays Wrestling in Petersburg sign ups are Tuesday evening starting at 6:00-6:30. Practice will be 6:30-7:30. This is open to students in grades PK-8 and open to Greenview children.
PORTA-Greenview Preschool programs will be conducting a developmental screening for any preschool-aged children on March 17th and 18th at the Petersburg United Methodist Church. Areas to be checked include speech, language, movement skills, and basic concepts. The screening takes approximately 1 hour to complete.
Children turning 3 & 4 before September 1st, who are living in the PORTA or Greenview School District, are encouraged to attend. If your child is not age-eligible at the time of screenings, but will be 3 in August, please bring them. Please don’t wait to have your child screened! Our program fills up quickly, and then students go on a waiting list. Children must be screened in order to be considered for the 2020-2021 PORTA-Greenview Preschool programs.

If you have a child currently 3 and are interested please contact us ASAP as there may be a pot open for this current school year!
