This evening the Jr High Boys Basketball team opens up the season at home vs Decatur! The 7th grade game begins at 6:00 and the 8th grade game will follow. There will be nice Bulldog Cups on sale that would make great gifts for the holidays!
Some big events are coming! Tomorrow November 10th at 10:00 am please consider joining us as we honor our Veterans at our annual assembly! All are welcome to join us for this activity the students have been working hard to prepare for the program it is always a great time!
Bulldog Night is November 17th and starts at 6:00! Come out and get the 1st glimpse of the 2023-2024 Bulldog Basketball team! The PTO basket auction is always a great fundraiser to help the programs they do for our students! Please consider coming out and showing off that Bulldog Pride!
We are starting up the youth basketball program this week! Players in grades k-1 will practice Tuesday & Friday this week from 6:00-7:00 at the school. Players in grades 2-3 will practice from 7:00-8:00 at the school. We will pass out jerseys this week at practice and hand out a game schedule! We are looking forward to another great season of youth basketball! If you have questions please do not hesitate to reach out!
Sharing info on a situation currently in Greenview from the sheriffs department-
Sheriff's deputies and Athens Police are currently looking for a suspect in Greenview who is on Federal probation and has cut off his ankle monitor. The suspect is described as having no shirt on and covered in blood. Please call 911 or 217-632-2273 if you see anyone matching that description.
Next Friday, November 10th, 2023 @ 10:00AM we will have an all school assembly to honor Veterans Day. This assembly will be open to the public and we welcome all veterans and families who would like to attend. We will have refreshments following the assembly for guests in the library.

The Halloween Parade today will take place at 2:30 down Palmer Street in front of school for grades K-5. All are welcome to attend and watch the students parade in Halloween costumes!

Tomorrow Friday, October 27th there will be an 11:30 early dismissal for staff training in the afternoon.
Tomorrow evening Friday, October 27th our Fall Jr High Dance will be held for students in grades 6-8 from 6:30-8:30 in the cafeteria. Only Greenview students are allowed to attend the dance. We look forward to the students having a fun night!

Tomorrow is Trunk or Treat at the Park! A few things to remember-
-the event will begin at 5:30 at the park for Trunk or Treat! All are welcome to join!
-there will be hot dogs and drinks at the CIA building free of charge!
-Dancing will be at the pavilion during the event. It will be a great time getting down to spooky and fun Halloween tunes!
-a prize will be given to best to the best decorated vehicle!
-All are welcome to have a trunk, we will start the setup at 4:30 for the vehicles.

A reminder that there will be a virtual FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) presentation tonight @ 6:00 pm. Seniors who are planning to attend college in the future are highly encouraged to tune in with a parent/guardian. The meeting link has been emailed to parent and student emails, so please reach out if you did not receive one. Letters were also mailed to parents a few weeks ago with detailed information.
