Congratulations to Q! Today Quentin finished in 3rd place at the IESA Wrestling Sectional in Auburn and will now advance to the State tournament! Great work!




A great day for our Bulldog musicians! The students had IHSA performance contest and finished with 7 first place, 5 second place and 2 third for band and choir! Some great work by our Bulldogs!

How about those Dawgs! Congratulations to the 8th grade girls volleyball team on a 1st round regional victory over AC Central this morning in the 1st round of regionals! The Ladies won 25-15 & 25-22!
The ladies play Tuesday evening in Virginia Tuesday evening at 6:00! Go Bulldogs!


This evenings 5th/6th grade game vs Riverton Hawks has been rescheduled to Saturday afternoon at 3:00 pm in Greenview. 5th grade will play 1st & 6th grade will follow. Go Bulldogs!

The final home game of the season for 5th & 6th grade basketball takes place this evening starting at 6:00 vs the Riverton Hawks! Come on out for a great evening of basketball.
Tomorrow we wish our 8th grade girls volleyball team good luck in their 1st regional game.

A correction the game will start approximately 20 minutes after the 5:00 pm game is over. We anticipate the game to start close to 6:00 pm.

We wish the Bulldog Jr High Volleyball team luck as this evening the 7th grade regionals get underway! Tonight the Bulldogs play 20 minutes after the 5:00 pm game starts. The 7th grade regionals are at home this week, we hope a big crowd shows up to cheer on the Bulldogs!


Letters have been sent home with students with information for upcoming State Assessment dates. Students taking the SAT or PSAT may leave after they complete the test, as long as they bring back the permission slip signed by their parents. Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns!

The GJHS Chess team will head to the State Finals tomorrow in Peoria! They will do a walk of Champions today at 2:40 in the high school hallway! Community members are welcome to join us to cheer for the team! Go Bulldogs!

A reminder there is a 6th-8th grade field trip tomorrow to University of Illinois Springfield. Students are reminded to please bring money to purchase lunch while on the trip.


Dawg Pound PTO Carnival is this evening! This is a fun event for families. There will be games, treats, bounce houses and fun for all! The Carnival runs from 6:00-7:30 and will be in both gyms. We ❤️our PTO!


The GHS WYSE team competed in the Academic Challenge at Lincoln Land Community College on February 8. We had two students who placed in their categories. Alex Wilcoxon received a 3rd place in Physics and a 3rd place in Mathematics. Heather Godsil received a 3rd place in English. We are proud of our students!
