This evenings HS Basketball game, JH Volleyball game and HS scholastic bowl meet are all cancelled.

Tomorrow Thursday, February 13th school will start at 10:00 am. All routes will run 2 hours behind schedule. Students that attend in Springfield will not attend and L-Tech students will not attend. Pre-K will attend 10:00-12:30. If conditions are hazardous in the morning we will not open, we want to make sure everyone can arrive safely.

A HUGE thanks to all involved with AG night. The Menard County Farm Bureau half court shout is always a blast. We are fortunate to have them as an advocate for our county. A huge thanks to Mr. Hilst and the GHS FFA for all they do! A wonderful group for sure! It was a great evening!
A few updates:
Today’s high school boys basketball game starts at 2 vs Decatur at home. Only a varsity game today.
There is no youth basketball practice this morning but games are still on.
Biddy Cheer practice after school until 4:30 on Monday. Please try to have the girls to the game by 6:45 on Tuesday dressed and ready. The girls will participate in the run out of the team.
Please get Val-O-Grams turned in by Monday

Congratulations to this weeks Greenview Elementary Golden Ticket Winners! These kids showed great behavior and had a good week. We are so proud of all of them! 🐾🎫

The Biddy Cheer performance will be moved to Tuesday February 11th. The cheerleaders will practice this evening from 5:00-6:30. They cheerleaders need to be at the game at 7:00 pm on Tuesday.
Tomorrow school will dismiss at 11:30 for a teachers workshop.
Val-O-Grams order forms will go home today.
Tomahawk Conference High School Scholastic Bowl meet at home will go on this evening.
5th/6th basketball games vs Athens this evening is canceled.
Tomorrow night the Bulldogs take on Illini Central at home. It is Ag Night and the CIA will be serving world famous Larry Smith Chili. The Menard County Farm Bureau will be doing the $100 half court shot. It will be a wonderful night in the community.

The weather forecast is not ideal for tomorrow and the likelihood of snow and wind for tomorrow afternoon continues to increase. I think we will be ok in the morning but families should be prepared for a 2:00 pm dismissal if conditions deteriorate. We want to give families a heads up to have a plan together. Let us hope the weather does not happen! Stay warm out there!

The kindergarten students and Mrs. Jacobs talked about predictions and did a poll for Groundhog Day. We are proud of how hard they worked. We are pleased to report Butch the Bulldog left the Dog House this morning and did not see his shadow! Early spring this year!
Tomorrow is favorite jersey day in honor of the Super Bowl on Sunday! You can wear the gear of your favorite team from any sport! Let’s have a fun last day of January!
A BIG day for the 8th grade volley team! The Bulldogs took 2nd place at the Zion tournament in Lincoln! Great job to these young ladies!
