The link on this page is to an excel sheet that demonstrates the increase to taxes a residential property could see with the March 17 referendum. You can enter a property value in cell B1 and the sheet will show the increase in taxes. You will need to have excel on your computer to use this form.
The referendum is to make renovations to the campus and the money that would be borrowed would be used only for building purposes. The anticipated raise to taxes would still keep CUSD #200 below neighboring school districts tax rates. We will have meetings to share information on March 3rd and March 12th both starting at 6:30 pm. Please contact me if you have questions about this project. This is a great opportunity to give our students an upgraded and modern learning facility!

Lil Jays Wrestling in Petersburg sign ups are Tuesday evening starting at 6:00-6:30. Practice will be 6:30-7:30. This is open to students in grades PK-8 and open to Greenview children.
PORTA-Greenview Preschool programs will be conducting a developmental screening for any preschool-aged children on March 17th and 18th at the Petersburg United Methodist Church. Areas to be checked include speech, language, movement skills, and basic concepts. The screening takes approximately 1 hour to complete.
Children turning 3 & 4 before September 1st, who are living in the PORTA or Greenview School District, are encouraged to attend. If your child is not age-eligible at the time of screenings, but will be 3 in August, please bring them. Please don’t wait to have your child screened! Our program fills up quickly, and then students go on a waiting list. Children must be screened in order to be considered for the 2020-2021 PORTA-Greenview Preschool programs.

If you have a child currently 3 and are interested please contact us ASAP as there may be a pot open for this current school year!
Reminder: the Junior High Track parent meeting is Monday, February 24 at 6:30 pm. The meeting will take place in the gymnasium. If you cannot be in attendance, please email Mr. Kossak at jkossak@greenviewschools.org to schedule an alternate meeting time.

Greenview students participated in the Sangamon/Menard County Spelling Bee at Pawnee. Our Bulldog spellers did a GREAT job! Eli placed 4th our of all the 4th graders and Nick placed 3rd out of all the 5th graders! Heather, Nick and Kolby all went deep in the rounds and did an awesome job!
Congratulations to Senior Landon Behrens for winning the Logan, Mason, Menard Heartland Beef Alliance scholarship! This is a great award for people involved in agriculture and we are proud of Landon! Keep up the great work!
Greenview CIA Chocolate Sunday starts at 2:00 in the cafeteria this afternoon, a great community event free for all and you can have some great treats!
No school today for Presidents Day. Students PK-5 can still draw their picture of a President for the Presidents Day art event. We have some great ones so far, please have them ready by start of school Tuesday Morning.
Valentines party’s will take place on Tuesday when we return. I hope everyone has an awesome day!
