If you purchased tickets for the GEO Bag Set Raffle those funds are due tomorrow November 12th to the school. If you would still like to purchase tickets tomorrow they are 1 for 10$ or 3 for 25$ and you can call the school and make arrangements. The winning ticket will be pulled on November 15th.

As we move to basketball season we are resuming charging fans for games. This evenings jr high basketball game vs Petersburg will start at 6:00 at home and this will be the 1st game we will charge for this year. Adult admission to a home game is $4.00 and youth admission is $2.00. We appreciate the support of students!

Today is the day! Please consider joining us at 10 AM for our Veterans Day program. Please enter through the elementary doors as you arrive.

Tomorrow’s assembly will be held inside the school in the gymnasium. The ceremony will start at 10:00 am, we ask guests to enter the elementary doors. We look forward to honoring our Veterans!

If you would like to order from the FFA fruit sales you can email FFA President Alex Wilcoxen at awilcoxen@greenviewschools.org - pictures and prices are on the web page and Facebook page. Please make sure to give Alex your address if you need us to deliver and contact information. Please mail a check to the school made out to GHS. You can also call School and we can arrange for you to come in and place an order if that is easier. The company we use does not have an online option to order. We appreciate everyone’s amazing support of this fundraiser!

We are proud of our elementary students who participated in the Red Ribbon Week Poster Contest!

There will be youth basketball practice this evening at 6:15 for K-1, 2-3 and 4-5. The girls team practice is rescheduled for Friday evening 6:00-7:30. Greenview Youth Sports could use some help coaching if anyone would like to help the kids learn to play basketball. You can message the youth sports page or ask the coaches at Practice this evening.

The GHS FFA fruit, meat and cheese sales are under way. This is a great holiday gift or a nice treat to have around the house. Please consider supporting the FFA as they do so much for our community.

There will be Youth basketball practice for students in grades k/1 at 9:00 am Saturday Morning. Girls in grades 1-4 will practice at 10:15 am. There will be practice at 10:15 for students in grades 2/4. Anyone still interested in joining youth basketball is still welcome to join. Tuesday evening there will be a youth practice at 6:15 for all players grade K-4. If anyone would like to help coach please contact the school and we will pass along the information. We appreciate everyone working with us as we get the youth season off the ground.

A few evening updates - Tomorrow November 4th students are dismissed at 11:30 for a teacher institute. Last Friday junior high and high school students were given forms for parent-teacher conferences that need to be returned tomorrow. If your student did not bring the forms home, please contact individual teachers to set up a conference. Elementary teachers will be reaching out to schedule conferences. If families need help with Christmas gifts please contact the office if you have not already signed up for the angel tree. There is a park committee bingo fundraiser at AMVETS tomorrow evening starting at 6:30 pm. It costs $10 and will be a great time! The Veterans Day Ceremony will start at 10:00 am on November 11th. Please help us spread the word to community members as we invite all to help us honor our Veterans! There will be food and drinks after the program for Veterans and community members. We are so very thankful for all the help and support as we have done our best in these tough times. It has now been 28 days since we have had a positive Covid case in our school!

We are helping to share the word there is a planned Ameren Power Outage for Greenview at 4:30 AM tomorrow morning! Please plan accordingly- we should not have any disruption to the school day.

The golf outing tomorrow at Country Hills is canceled due to poor weather. We will let everyone know when we come up with a plan to hold a fundraiser to support Christmas Gifts for children in need.

UPDATE!!!!!!!!! The parade will be in the big gym! Families should enter through the elementary doors and proceed to the bleachers. PLEASE WEARE MASKS INSIDE THE SCHOOL. We hope everyone can join us for a great time! The parade will start at 1:30

As of now we intend to have the annual Greenview School Halloween Parade at 1:30 in front of school. If it is raining at that time we will hold the parade in the gym and allow community members in to see the students!

Mrs. Hoerbert’s 4th graders have been doing some great Halloween STEM activities! Keep up the good work!
