Tomorrow evening, November 16th, there will be a mandatory player and parent meeting for any girl in 5th-8th grade that is planning on playing JH volleyball this year.
The meeting will take place at 6:30 in the library.

Mrs. Swaar will begin handing out gondola orders starting at 5:30 in the all purpose room.

7:00-7:30 -School song, warm ups, presentations
7:30-8:00- HS boys scrimmage
During the games the PTO silent auction will be taking place.
10 minutes after the games silent auction bidding ends.

The Greenview Boys Basketball Team Store is open for a couple of days for anyone interested in purchasing Greenview apparel. The link to the online store is https://greenviewbasketball2022.itemorder.com/. The deadline to place orders in the Team Store is Wednesday, November 16th by 11:59 PM. Orders will take 4-6 weeks to arrive to the school, and will be distributed by Coach Aldridge just in time for Christmas. If you have any questions, please contact Coach Aldridge. Our Veterans Day program is tomorrow at 10:00 am! Community members are welcome to join us as we honor our Veterans. There will be refreshments after the program in the library for our guests.
There is no school Friday, November 11th in observance of Veterans Day.
There will be youth basketball practice Thursday Evening from 6-7 for the kindergarten/1st grade players. There will be practice Thursday night from 7-8 for the 2nd/3rd grade players.

From the Greenview Youth Sports-
There will be youth basketball practice Tuesday and Friday night this week from 6-7 for grades K-3. We will have games this Sunday in Athens schedules will be sent out later this week.
On 11/1/2022 the HS Boys Basketball team will have a parent player meeting in the high school library starting at 6:00PM. All students and thier parents that are planning on playing high school basketball need to attend. If you have a conflict please reach out to Coach Aldridge or Mr. Hoerbert.
Tomorrow we celebrate Halloween at school! A few things to remember-
-The K-5 Halloween parade will take place at 2:30 on Palmer Street. Family and Community members are welcome to attend enjoy the students marching in costume.
-students are remind to keep costumes fun and in good taste. Please do not dress up in a scary costume.
-6-12 students may dress up for school but keep in mind comfort when choosing a costume.

Trunk or treat starts at 5:30! A few updates:
-We ask anyone giving candy to park on Blaine Street by the park and face your area to pass out candy towards the park.
-We ask everyone to be in position by 5:15 if possible.
-We are going to start setting up at 4:15. We will have teams moving things from school and at the park. We would take all the help we can get!
-High school students that help will get community service hours.
-A huge thanks to all that have worked so hard to make this happen! We want the kids to have a great evening! Happy Halloween!
Trunk or treat is this Saturday October 22nd at the park! Trick or treaters are welcome to enjoy a great time. The event will run 5:30-6:30. There will be hot dogs & drinks. There will be some great music to dance to and some great Halloween fun for all. Please join us!
Good morning all! It is much colder this morning please remember to remind students to wear coats/warm clothes as the younger students do go outside for recess. Stay warm today!
Boys Junior High Basketball practice starts tomorrow evening and will run from 6:00-7:30. Practice this week will be from 6:00-7:30 every evening. Coach Luke Curry will be sending home a practice calendar this week.
Players need to have an updated physical, shoes & shorts for practice. Players will receive a jersey to practice in. Players will be in the small gym if the big gym is in use for other sports/activities are going on.

We have begun working on the Angel Tree program for students for the upcoming Christmas season. The Angel Tree program is for families that could use help with Christmas Gifts for any children in the Greenview area that are school aged or lower.
We anticipate we may need a bit more help than usual this year as we do not have as many community resources as in the past. As soon as we have the lists together we will have lists for families/community member/churches to adopt a family. The list is anonymous and peoples names are not shared receiving help.
Applications have been sent home but please do not hesitate to reach out if we can help. Angel tree applications for all students. Forms need to be returned to school or Ann by October 28th.
Gift handout will be 9-11:00 on Saturday December 17th at firehouse.

JH basketball boys will have open gym Tues and Wed 6pm-730pm for those that can come this week. The JH boys official practice will start next week on the 17th. A schedule will go out later this week.
