Midday update-
It has come to our attention the text message system we utilize may not be working correctly. We are doing our best to share information and are working quickly to fix this issue.
We have built multiple ways to reach out to the community and one way is our Greenview Bulldog Ap. You can find it on the Apple ap store or Google play. A link to the apple ap is at the bottom of our post. Please consider down loading it to stay informed as phone companies sometimes identify texts as possible spam. All alerts will go out with text but also ap push notifications.
There are many rumors out there about safety of our school and threats to students and staff. We have been in contact with law enforcement there is no danger and the school is secure. We are doing our best to share information with families. For now we will continue to be in close contact with law enforcement to keep our school safe. You might see a police presence at school to calm tensions and keep everyone safe. We take threats seriously and if there was danger we would work to keep everyone safe.
If you have questions please do not hesitate to reach out to us.

Today we were made aware of some possible concerning statements made on campus.
The situation was quickly investigated and it was determined there was no threat or danger to students or staff.
Greenview CUSD #200 is safe and will continue to be a safe place for our students to learn and grow.
As always if you see or hear information please feel free to let us know as we work hard to keep our school safe. We will continue to be vigilant and share any information is there is real danger. If you have questions or concerns please do not hesitate to reach out.

Congrats to Lacie Schultz our October student of the month at GHS!

Junior High Boys Basketball Open Gym this evening is canceled

We have new members of the 100 Club! Very proud of these kindergarteners in Mrs. Jacobs class!

Our volleyball team has been doing a great job this fall and works hard! We love when our fans attend games and root on the Bulldogs.
We want to remind families to keep young children with them and supervise them so it does not disrupt fans enjoying the game. Students should not be running the hallway or running around in the gym.
No students under 6th grade should be at a game without an adult present. We appreciate the support of our fans and look forward to many great home games ahead!

Coach Curry will have Junior High Basketball Open Gym:
Wednesday, Thursday & Friday 6-730

Picture retake day is this Monday, October 3rd!
If your child was absent on the first picture day and you need a picture form, please contact Mr. White at cwhite@greenviewschools.org
If you are wanting your child’s picture retaken, they need to bring the original photos with them.

Congratulations to our September Student of the Month, Samantha Nahlik!

If any junior senior high students are available we could use some help manning the snack shack tonight at the volleyball game versus Mount pulaski.

Marbold Heritage Festival This Weekend!

We have officially transitioned our student information system from InformationNow to TeacherEase. Parents/guardians with children in 1st-12th grades who provided an email address during registration this year should be receiving a welcome email. This email provides directions for setting up a parent login in order to access your children's classes and grades. If you have issues with your login, you are able to reset your password on the TeacherEase website directly. Please reach out if you have any additional questions or concerns to shobbs@greenviewschools.org or shoerbert@greenviewschools.org. Have a wonderful Labor Day weekend!

We will have a good pick up Saturday morning from 9-10. We have watermelon, corn on the cob, pineapple & red potatoes. It will be 1st come 1st serve. Unfortunately we do not have any meat for this pick up. Please message us if you have any questions. We are thankful to our volunteers and the Ce real Illinois Foodbank for getting this program together for our community!

We will be hosting a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) informational presentation on September 21 @ 5:30 pm in the school library. Any Senior that is planning to attend college after graduation is highly encouraged to attend with a parent/guardian. This free presentation will provide valuable information about how to apply for financial aid, what information you will need to apply, and dates of application. The attached letter was sent home with students last week, but please review for more details regarding this event.
